AI-Powered Defect Investigation Platform

consulting engagement · anonymized

Defect investigations that took days now take minutes — and every investigation makes the next one smarter.

A global enterprise platform — millions of serialized assets, strict repair SLAs, everything integrated through message queues — was drowning in multi-day defect investigations. I built a suite of MCP servers, a compounding knowledge base, and a BA-facing web app that turned investigation into a command: investigate <defect number>.

CourtCall

An entire conference's open call — submissions, review, community voting, judging, finalists — run by one time-gated system.

The public proposes sessions for RacquetX 2027, staff review them, the community votes, a judging panel scores, finalists are announced. Six phases, each unlocking different screens and permissions, all driven by one central fact: what phase is it? Live at courtcall.events.

Erika Simon Jewelry

A storefront where every piece exists exactly once — so the software is not allowed to be wrong.

A premium storefront, travel gallery, and jewelry journal for metalsmith Erika Simon, with a mobile Studio she runs from her phone. Every piece is one of a kind: a missed inventory update isn't a bookkeeping error, it's selling something that no longer exists. The system is built around that fact.

TERA — Event Revenue Agent

Seven AI agents that build a trade show's sponsorship pipeline — and stop for a human "yes" at every consequential step.

For B2B trade shows and confexes: agents find potential sponsors, score them, identify the right contact, write briefings, draft outreach, and build renewal cases. Three human gates stand between the AI and the outside world — nothing contacts a company, and nothing sends, without a person deciding it should.

monitor-app

built · first live drill pending

When production breaks, an AI investigates in the repo and drafts the fix PR. It can't merge and it can't send — by construction.

Production errors become messages on a durable queue; a dispatcher hands each to an AI session running inside the affected project's own repository, which investigates and drafts a pull request. The human gates are structural: no merge rights, and no email-send capability exists at all.

AI Campaign Platform

product · name withheld

AI makes the campaign. Hard spend ceilings and a human approval decide what ships.

Configure a brand and an audience once. The platform generates image, video and copy variants, publishes them across social and ad channels, and measures what converts. Every generation is checked against a spending ceiling enforced on the server. Paid ads run in dry-run mode until someone explicitly arms them. Nothing publishes until a person approves it.

Court Scheduling Platform

name withheld

Attorneys book hearings straight onto a judge's calendar, and two of them can never get the same slot.

A multi-tenant scheduling platform for state trial courts. Judges and their staff publish availability, and attorneys self-book qualified slots. Hearings sync to Google, Microsoft and ICS calendars, and scheduling orders generate automatically. Double-booking is prevented by a range lock in the database itself, not by the UI. Any authority the server acts on comes from verified identity, never from the request.

County Probation Portal

name withheld

Probation case management that refuses to guess at the law.

Officers run caseloads. Probationers pay fees and prove compliance. Judges see how each person is tracking against time, money and conditions. Each county is its own tenant with its own payment account, so money is split at the processor, not in a spreadsheet. Where a rule is a judge's or sheriff's discretion, the system records the decision instead of encoding a default.

Project Cost Ledger

Every dollar across five vendors, mapped to the project that spent it, with no guessing.

A read-only dashboard across Azure, the domain registrar, the auth provider, CI minutes and revenue. Attribution is explicit, never inferred, because a wrong match looks plausible. A vendor with no cost API becomes a manual ledger line instead of blocking the build. Closed months are frozen, and the open month is queried live.

shawnsimon.com

A portfolio that practices what the sculpture preaches: the artist sets the conditions, chance completes the piece.

The portfolio for Shawn's sculpture — steel blowtorched into molten, chance-driven forms — where the site itself is generative: every page load composes a unique molten-steel canvas from a random seed. Includes Rust Garden, a live piece that rusts in real time, driven by the clock.

clownwash — Facility No. 1

Facility No. 1 — opening soon.

A municipal institution that washes clowns and files paperwork about it. Official notices. An adopt-a-clown program. A gift shop that takes real money. The comedy is the product; the commerce is real.
